Kershaw can engrave one line of text and up to 15 characters per line. Location of engraving will be on the blade or handle, depending on material type. No emojis can be used. Please proofread text before submitting and choose between one of the fonts below.

For the best engraving results, please submit clean, high-resolution artwork. Images will engrave in black or white depending on the material and finish of the selected knife. Color artwork may be submitted, but it will be converted to black and white for engraving.

Vector artwork is preferred, and transparent backgrounds are recommended whenever possible. Photos of artwork, photos of logos, photographs, or real-life images cannot be accepted for engraving at this time.

We accept artwork in the following formats:

Vector Artwork
Vector files are preferred for the cleanest result. Please submit artwork as an .EPS file when possible, or as an .SVG, .PDF, or other editable vector format. Artwork should have clean lines, legible graphics, and simple black outlines or all-black artwork.

High-Resolution Digital Artwork
High-resolution files may also be accepted in .PNG, .JPG, .JPEG, .GIF, or .PDF format. Files must be at least 300 DPI at the final engraving size and less than 25 MB.

Artwork Requirements
Black-and-white files with a black outline are preferred. All-black artwork is also accepted. All-white graphics cannot be accepted at this time. Designs should be clean, simple, and easy to read at the final engraving size.

We cannot engrave images and text that are inappropriate or offensive. Kershaw Knives reserves the right to refuse any engraving request. In these cases, we will cancel the submission and send an email alert.

Engraved orders are final sale and cannot be returned. Before production begins, we will provide a digital proof showing your artwork, logo, or text placement for review and approval.

Because materials, blade finishes, and handle finishes can vary from knife to knife, final engraving color and exact placement may also vary slightly. Please note that our engraving process is a surface laser engraving, not a deep etching process.

By submitting artwork, logos, names, or other custom materials, the purchaser confirms they have the right to use them. This includes company names, organization names, trademarks, logos, copyrighted artwork, patented designs, or other protected materials.

Kershaw will take care of the rest by printing ink onto the handle and curing it with UV light, resulting in a clear, durable, and attractive custom image finished with a clear Cerakote for protection.

All products engraved by Kai USA remain covered by the full Kai USA warranty. This does not cover misuse, abuse, or improper use. For more warranty information, please visit the Warranty Page. Replaced items that have been engraved by Kai USA, will not be re-engraved. Replaced items that have been printed with CCI by Kershaw, will not be reprinted.
